Make your own homemade pumpkin peanut butter dog treats with this one-bowl 4-ingredient recipe! Create cute-shaped biscuits with silicone moulds or cookie cutters. These gluten-free DIY dog treats make a welcome gift for your dog-loving friends too!

Ingredients for Pumpkin Peanut Butter Dog Treats

  • 0.25 cups of pure pumpkin puree (To make this amount using our Pumpkin Powder you need 21g of powder mixed with 42ml of water)
  • 1.5 tablespoons natural peanut butter, with no added sugar or xylitol
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup of oat or wholewheat flour

Equipment Needed

  • Silicone dog treat moulds
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula or spoon

Directions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180°C

Step 2

Combine the pumpkin purée, peanut butter and egg in a medium bowl. Then stir in the flour until well combined.

Step 3

Roll the dough into small balls less than 1-inch in diameter. Press them into the moulds just until they're level. Don't overfill as the treats will puff up a little as they bake.

Step 4

Place the moulds on a baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes at 180°C or until the dog treats are dry and hard.

Step 5

Remove from the oven and transfer the molds to a cooling rack for 10 - 15 minutes. When cool enough to handle, invert onto the rack and let the treats cool completely before feeding to your dog.

Step 6

Store at room temperature in an airtight container for a week or more. For longer storage, refrigerate or freeze.
